Clean room, good air conditioning, always hot water available, good value for money. Location good for the city as bus stop to major tourist attraction and speedy metro only 5 minutes walk away.Second time I stayed there and would definitely stay there again.
Would be good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, especially as there isnt breakfast available.

It was a very nice hostal. It looked more like a hotel, than a hostal. I booked it because it was only 200 metres from Palacio Vista Alegre. 5 minutes walk from nearest metro station.
I would have liked a bed and breakfast or a small cafeteria for a snack.

It is well looked after and the rooms are really nice and comfortable. It is very useful that it is a 24 hour reception.
You will need to take with you a Spanish phrase book or dictionary as not many of the staff can speak English. It is also quite far away from the centre so you cannot stop out too late because the metro closes as half past one but it does only take about twenty or thirty minutes to get to the centre. I would also recommend that you take earplugs as my boyfriend and I didn't sleep well because it was a little noisy just outside the hotel during most of the night and early morning.

The decoration of the hotel is impressive and the hotel is near a stop of Metro 5 thus very easy to get to the centre of Madrid from it.
the staff there cannot speak english and the room is not sound resistant. And the WiFi covers just the ground floor.

The hotel is nice, quite and clean. I didn't heard any noise from a bar outside.
Bad soundproofing, personal doesn't speak English at all. 30 minutes distance to the city centre. It's easy to get to airport by public transport. The taxi cost me around 40 euros.

It was really clean and tidy. Also it is very quiet in the hotel and staff is very friendly
The fact that staff doesnt speak English, although its ok if somebody just wants the keys to the room without asking about anything :) The internet works but it disconnects every 10-15mins and I had to connect again and again...

The location is central and convenient, pretty close to a metro station and easy to reach Mendez Alvaro bus station. the room was neat and clean, with hot water and good heat. the staff was polite and friendly. There were light-proof shutters that help you sleep peacefully at night.
There was too much street noise that made the stay uncomfortable at times. Windows weren't sound-proof, and hence, the disturbance from the bar opposite the street went on until after midnight.

Rooms and price are good.
It is necessary to improve equipment in bathrooms and beds.

Very close to the metro station. Within minutes you are in the center of Madrid. The room are indeed large and spaceous as described but if you arrive very late you could get a "corner" room that is quite claustrofobic.
Nobody was speaking english or other language but with "gestures" we get along very well :) as the personel is very open.
